I'm running for the State House because I'm fed up with politicians who put corporate lobbyists ahead of average Alaskans.</p>

Raised on strong working-class values—with three grandparents who retired with union pensions—Kimberly was taught from a young age to respect labor and stand with workers.</p><p>Her Alaska story began in the early 1990s as a waitress at Trail Lake Lodge in Moose Pass, where seeing the Estes Brothers waterwheel first sparked her passion for renewable energy. In 2018, she trained under former Vice President Al Gore as a Climate Reality Leader. To balance the state budget and modernize our economy, Kimberly will work with legislative partners to assess a per-barrel carbon fee and to create an infrastructure fund to upgrade the Railbelt electric grid, expand fiber-optic internet, and secure Alaska’s energy future.</p>

<h5>I will protect the full statutory PFD!</h5><p>While other politicians want to cut your check to fund government spending, my energy transition and carbon fee plan will create new revenue streams to guarantee your PFD remains whole for generations.</p>

<p><strong>While others talked about protecting the PFD, I took action.&nbsp; I started a petition on </strong><a href="https://c.org/hNNYX6RX4Q" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>Change.Org</strong></a><strong> to constitutionally protect the PFD. Alaskans deserve leaders who will stand up for the dividend and back their words with action.</strong></p>

<h5>As a nurse who worked primarily on the Medical/Surgical unit but also occasionally floated to the ICU and ER, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is for your safety that your nurse have a manageable patient load. </h5><p>Unsafe staffing can and does result in medical errors and delayed care. Alaskans pay more for healthcare than anyone else, and the quality of care should reflect that fact, but it doesn't. Overall health outcomes in Alaska are worse than those in the lower 48.&nbsp;</p><p>I will support statutory safe staffing requirements for your safety and for the well-being of the nursing staff providing care.&nbsp;</p>
